However, it's been a challenge to attribute the tradition to a specific year or individual. What I've found is by the 19th century, as the celebratory, fizz libation became more widely available and associated with luxury and merriment, it became a common practice in Europe to welcome the New Year with a midnight toast of Champagne. </p><p></p><p>My obsession with New Year's candles started many years ago with a candle that Village Candle discontinued some time ago. Although I have backups, I'm always on the lookout for the next best <br />thing. Fortunately, I found it with Goose Creek's 'Fizz the Season.'</p><p>I adore the wrap-around label with the champagne-filled flutes, ice-filled buckets with champagne bottles, and festive bursts of sparks. </p><p>The scent notes of Fizz the Season are: </p><p>Top: Cranberry Fizz</p><p>Mid: Lime, Apple</p><p>Base: Sparkling Wine, Sugar</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_H-71b5CV3x7El-RaHZ6V_kES3zzpJRW2ULnyP7_1MXoWKhtsU21pPKK9a4Q-w66KovZttWNgTSOntHb85rFY9LED2RMKLxA7grUOtgEjpnoHNaTSsIdJeYyF9KqOqJMzHIFfuBhi0FZ7uq65RKE096ofQxy9C7a6WoRanRCgIS3ytin6DcWlqu-boSg/s4288/goose%20creek%20candle%20fizz%20the%20season.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2768" data-original-width="4288" height="414" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_H-71b5CV3x7El-RaHZ6V_kES3zzpJRW2ULnyP7_1MXoWKhtsU21pPKK9a4Q-w66KovZttWNgTSOntHb85rFY9LED2RMKLxA7grUOtgEjpnoHNaTSsIdJeYyF9KqOqJMzHIFfuBhi0FZ7uq65RKE096ofQxy9C7a6WoRanRCgIS3ytin6DcWlqu-boSg/w640-h414/goose%20creek%20candle%20fizz%20the%20season.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><p></p><p>The fragrance of Fizz the season is absolutely wonderful. The combination of cranberry, lime, a subtle hint of apple, and champagne creates a beautiful blend of sweet and tart, augmented by a fizzy effervescence. </p><p>In terms of throw, this 14.5oz candle is a powerhouse. The scent of Fizz the Season permeated throughout my entire apartment. </p><p>In 2022. I purchased three Fizz the Season candles. I had hoped that Goose Creek would bring it back for 2023, as I was down to my last one. Unfortunately, they didn't, and I've since finished burning my final Fizz the Season candle. Now, I'm kicking myself for not buying more! <br /></p>So Lonely in Gorgeoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02074828702121532133noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1060148230292966531.post-46094167579442021252024-01-08T22:42:00.004+09:002024-01-08T22:42:55.515+09:00Sparkling into the New Year Like...Paradox Polish <p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhccRRAyLR3G-pqZQLxdgzVRCw4Xfa_3TtyMU-ZlMTNJlRnO1Q9a4Yumt9_8dn2lM2Aj8JDFHdwbtZLAvaVYc7AoaPVYej2H6aKN_qdhLJ5GXAEngGzrcbohXW5mr-tWltsNwCKzUhw_J_Tdeg6X6qO9VIkq9542bG2cUC4LdqSh81MpyxAXleBWTkfGCs/s4249/Paradox%20Polish%20Sparkling%20into%20the%20New%20Year%20Like...%20indie.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4249" data-original-width="2711" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhccRRAyLR3G-pqZQLxdgzVRCw4Xfa_3TtyMU-ZlMTNJlRnO1Q9a4Yumt9_8dn2lM2Aj8JDFHdwbtZLAvaVYc7AoaPVYej2H6aKN_qdhLJ5GXAEngGzrcbohXW5mr-tWltsNwCKzUhw_J_Tdeg6X6qO9VIkq9542bG2cUC4LdqSh81MpyxAXleBWTkfGCs/s16000/Paradox%20Polish%20Sparkling%20into%20the%20New%20Year%20Like...%20indie.jpg" /></a></div><p>Finally, I thought I was going to be ahead of the posting curb. On the eve of New Year's, I had taken pictures of my mani for the evening, and all that was left was to write the pot for the blog. Alas, Murphy and his cursed law had other plans. By mid-afternoon, I started to feel very ill, and after a week of sickness, I'm finally starting to feel better. </p><p></p><p>Anyhow, drivel over. Now, let's start the post with a tidbit of New Year's trivia. </p><p>In Japan, it's customary to watch the first sunrise of the year, known as "hatsuhinode." People often hike up mountains or visit special viewing spots to witness this event, symbolizing the first dawn of a new beginning. In case you're wondering, no, I've never done hatsuhinode. <br /></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEix9XDXrmuZ9op_sQ3PH02C4-BL0WmDIR25ucyq7Owh5KF4Q1_37Q93uP5sR18-lFjLRh1dWv069QobsG0s25ECIvvmDM2N2Zkmp1KSJG7ognl-rGNEfXQDQLHU8P2XEzhTdyWvsMECAz-e7najwy7AwpqdsLeRZOdSrOUBldOyv3UVnhAHpxSKQMv_xTM/s4186/Paradox%20Polish%20Sparkling%20into%20the%20New%20Year%20Like...%20ppu.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2771" data-original-width="4186" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEix9XDXrmuZ9op_sQ3PH02C4-BL0WmDIR25ucyq7Owh5KF4Q1_37Q93uP5sR18-lFjLRh1dWv069QobsG0s25ECIvvmDM2N2Zkmp1KSJG7ognl-rGNEfXQDQLHU8P2XEzhTdyWvsMECAz-e7najwy7AwpqdsLeRZOdSrOUBldOyv3UVnhAHpxSKQMv_xTM/w640-h426/Paradox%20Polish%20Sparkling%20into%20the%20New%20Year%20Like...%20ppu.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />Paradox Polish's 'Sparkling into the New Year Like...' is what I wore on New Year's Eve. <p></p><p>The maker's inspiration for the polish was their readiness for the "adventures 2023 has to offer." You're eager to immerse yourself in the color schemes and scents of the upcoming season, even though the weather hasn't quite caught up with the proverbial changing of the guard, and is clinging onto the climate of the former. </p><p>Originally, I had a new shower gel lined up for September. However, the current hot and humid weather rendered its fragrance intolerable (the post of that shower gel coming later). This is where Bath & Body Works Endless Weekend shower gel comes in. </p><p>Endless Weekend's fragrance notes are Summer Mandarin, Blue Coconut Water, and Vanilla Sandalwood. Although not listed on the back of the bottle, I also pick up scents of raspberry, lychee, apple, and a hint of floral. </p><p>The shower gel lathers up beautifully, leaving the skin feeling clean, refreshed, and lightly scented. I'm not sure if I need to continue to mention this bit, but I just feel incomplete if I don't. Also, this has nothing to do with performance and is strictly cosmetic, but I love it when shower gels are tinted. They're just pleasing to look at, and the turquoise shade of Endless Weekend is no exception. </p><p>Endless Weekend's invigorating fruity (and slightly floral) scent is a great remedy for those reluctant to let go of summer, as well as for those of us (me) who are ready to leave the season in our rearview mirror, but still have to deal with the lag in temperature. </p>So Lonely in Gorgeoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02074828702121532133noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1060148230292966531.post-86263588503409663772023-09-16T17:13:00.006+09:002023-09-16T17:22:59.377+09:00She Walks Around With A Pink Balloon<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOioE0oQQdYpPXKPG4I9xm6TyvLkMx3gGXDVyW--_zHlVZ_uYWbmijdhhpvO2Iv7JL2OOB5UIB8ZU6Sqz-mg0bTTbz2HZRTrwazCrGOC-GddtWv8ZXNJSWTwQdZy81Qea0jLauSitzg_rxMD-IyF0tKS_y4DGZ3qK8WAu6vE88zjMxyJhKRrmVSdPeXUI/s4084/orly%20dont%20pop%20my%20balloon%20lacquer.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4084" data-original-width="2653" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOioE0oQQdYpPXKPG4I9xm6TyvLkMx3gGXDVyW--_zHlVZ_uYWbmijdhhpvO2Iv7JL2OOB5UIB8ZU6Sqz-mg0bTTbz2HZRTrwazCrGOC-GddtWv8ZXNJSWTwQdZy81Qea0jLauSitzg_rxMD-IyF0tKS_y4DGZ3qK8WAu6vE88zjMxyJhKRrmVSdPeXUI/s16000/orly%20dont%20pop%20my%20balloon%20lacquer.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div>Globophobia - Ever heard of it? While the shift is more noticeable in the bottle than on the nails, from certain contorted angles, you can catch glimpses of its barely-there allure. </p><p>Be mindful during application, as Don't Pop My Balloon's shimmer-pearlized finish may show brush strokes if overworked. Apply it in smooth, straight strokes. On the plus side, its wear time is impressive; it stayed chip-free for five days before I removed it. During lather, and after rinse, the scent I get from Firecracker Fizz is a mixture of sweet cherry and Hawaiian Punch. The fragrance lingers on the hands for several hours; not in a noxious way, but in a pleasant, refreshing way. Also, the handwash lathers and cleans the hands nicely without leaving them feeling dry. </p><p>Every year, I repurchase Bath & Body Works' Firecracker products and will continue to do so. <br /></p>So Lonely in Gorgeoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02074828702121532133noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1060148230292966531.post-50546900462799743142023-07-05T22:03:00.002+09:002023-07-05T22:04:24.482+09:00'Til The Liberty Belle Rings...Painted Polish <p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMm7hOXZnR328dOuN0Tnf0neF2bJqEw0W17ePzMPMoHr9IqnpCTHC_FqdPSi2CxtNPs4XUNxFW184agqZ-3PL1K7JR0ODUCsmDOWwhM5WAMRJpSC7YZlj8QVNxhuVNItJothvDiwVQ8MN3vU3DveRj43bQSCxcPwXmhT7H9fQRgrCoRQu-tQIg-yfscGI/s4288/painted%20polish%20liberty%20belle%20nail%20polish%20.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4288" data-original-width="2848" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMm7hOXZnR328dOuN0Tnf0neF2bJqEw0W17ePzMPMoHr9IqnpCTHC_FqdPSi2CxtNPs4XUNxFW184agqZ-3PL1K7JR0ODUCsmDOWwhM5WAMRJpSC7YZlj8QVNxhuVNItJothvDiwVQ8MN3vU3DveRj43bQSCxcPwXmhT7H9fQRgrCoRQu-tQIg-yfscGI/s16000/painted%20polish%20liberty%20belle%20nail%20polish%20.jpg" /></a></div><p>"Proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof." -Leviticus 25:10</p><p></p><p>Regrettably, I've never been to Philadelphia, one of the most historical cities in the States. However, that day is not today. Instead, I want to give recognition, and praise the indie beauty brand, Rebel Rouge Labs. </p><p></p><p>I don't recall how I discovered the brand. However, I checked, and saw my first purchase was back in 2018 when they had their Etsy store.</p><p>Maryann, the owner of Rebel Rouge Labs, is just as wonderful as her brand. I adore her creativity in illustrating and showcasing her love of art, music, and film, and how she infuses them into the themes of the collaged imagaery of the exterior packaging; the colorstory of the products, and their shade names. All of it is sublimely executed, even down to the companion stickers for every palette, I love everything about RRL. </p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRJRE9BOVkzgJHI7F7d3Iq-Owg62UCMqYRlCO5n93z_Q9kkK5O0yy0YnfesbTSLfBn4banUO3hv4az5cLOwTHallJq_C4WShzgrvGaXYJSdH2OCH4r0315rlgSHPpj8A3le95F5L-2OIItgsLGrXJlQfHROZ71uMEqE0HS4jBwGXGB_gv_DZ8kWSBd/s4288/rebel%20rouge%20labs%20cygnus%20serpens.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2848" data-original-width="4288" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRJRE9BOVkzgJHI7F7d3Iq-Owg62UCMqYRlCO5n93z_Q9kkK5O0yy0YnfesbTSLfBn4banUO3hv4az5cLOwTHallJq_C4WShzgrvGaXYJSdH2OCH4r0315rlgSHPpj8A3le95F5L-2OIItgsLGrXJlQfHROZ71uMEqE0HS4jBwGXGB_gv_DZ8kWSBd/w640-h426/rebel%20rouge%20labs%20cygnus%20serpens.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><p>Maryann's attention to detail is always a fun treat for me. Also, I just checked the BBW website, and it's still available. </p>So Lonely in Gorgeoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02074828702121532133noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1060148230292966531.post-36713712712426082112022-07-10T19:08:00.002+09:002022-07-10T19:20:59.331+09:00A Juicy Piece of Polish...Kure Bazaar Nail Lacquer<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilFkQ6TMCOfyLyU33-tFi6w301U0ouJlQUWDKbslgb6ZYK1pTkDcp02e1mNqdMY6HqUYaiDWvqjCX3mEN4978TanuGD-sAFRwd5_IEA3iI9KGKHoFj3aTvQythC-G5wu7DZS_gD3W73Nriu_1PCKRebdkibYDAmPQTlJRlHXa-Onap71zCM_99E1O4/s3928/kure%20bazaar%20nail%20lacquer%20juicy.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3928" data-original-width="2722" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilFkQ6TMCOfyLyU33-tFi6w301U0ouJlQUWDKbslgb6ZYK1pTkDcp02e1mNqdMY6HqUYaiDWvqjCX3mEN4978TanuGD-sAFRwd5_IEA3iI9KGKHoFj3aTvQythC-G5wu7DZS_gD3W73Nriu_1PCKRebdkibYDAmPQTlJRlHXa-Onap71zCM_99E1O4/s16000/kure%20bazaar%20nail%20lacquer%20juicy.jpg" /></a></div><p>Hello, all! I know it's been some time since my last post, but I can't believe it's been over 5 months long. Apologies for my absence from the blog.</p><p></p><p>Leading up to the 4th of July, from Friday to Monday (and still going) I decided to showcase different nail polishes that are a perfect something extra to celebrate patriotic holidays. The lacquer I wore on July 1st was Kure Bazaar's, 'Juicy.' </p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivN1FALHzKKYKJ2jm-gZ1M6iqpa4BoCB6m4pCjt7hgnj29x8X9kIwRVQsXmTTj24zIukwevD9I6CNOxtkTEmMfZhsjQzIZOw0Fky5szSMOfHUef45BL4huMewRhZVZICWz5l3Nf5oI93Mum_aMyUWlaM1NHZX6zR4He2AaJ0rCZZDdH6riD5LtbdYq/s4288/kure%20bazaar%20juicy.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4288" data-original-width="2848" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivN1FALHzKKYKJ2jm-gZ1M6iqpa4BoCB6m4pCjt7hgnj29x8X9kIwRVQsXmTTj24zIukwevD9I6CNOxtkTEmMfZhsjQzIZOw0Fky5szSMOfHUef45BL4huMewRhZVZICWz5l3Nf5oI93Mum_aMyUWlaM1NHZX6zR4He2AaJ0rCZZDdH6riD5LtbdYq/w426-h640/kure%20bazaar%20juicy.jpg" width="426" /></a></div><p></p><p>Juicy is a vibrant orange, with a kiss of red. Not only is this an optimal shade for summer, but it's also a fun vivid twist to the traditional reds worn on the 4th. The formula is impeccable; opaque, smooth, and creamy. Yet, it has this squishy glossiness that has me going back and forth on whether Juicy is a cream or crelly. </p><p>Kure Bazaar is one of my favorite brands, and I'm well on my way to owning all of their polishes.</p>So Lonely in Gorgeoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02074828702121532133noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1060148230292966531.post-62524398934758871222022-01-29T17:57:00.006+09:002022-01-29T19:55:41.878+09:00Polish Before Blood...Zoya Tris<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEivFnYk7g8VfKSpZaagod9gdwtWvawlwqk2F-EWXGeAYFKBLyYkCXsTYAf53rMw-ufXkmjWyVdaDsg15csq1b4JLXPtpetgNPdJdc9pzdahw9DjXSU8N-clfgqOQMcHMInNH3nfr-5I90AVUNq3R_rQMBCLFH1pHqIpj9eI6GGLBnK4ojUmxJaBzDSg=s4173" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4173" data-original-width="2616" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEivFnYk7g8VfKSpZaagod9gdwtWvawlwqk2F-EWXGeAYFKBLyYkCXsTYAf53rMw-ufXkmjWyVdaDsg15csq1b4JLXPtpetgNPdJdc9pzdahw9DjXSU8N-clfgqOQMcHMInNH3nfr-5I90AVUNq3R_rQMBCLFH1pHqIpj9eI6GGLBnK4ojUmxJaBzDSg=s16000" /></a></div><p>This has been my longest absence from blogging, and I've missed it. Nevertheless, I feel the shade accurately depicts the fierce, industrial aesthetic of Dauntless. Anyhow, rant over, back to the polish. </p><p>The consistency of the formula is thin and semi-watery. The polish applies sheer, yet even; it doesn't run along the sides of the nails, and may require several layers to reach full opacity. I'm wearing 5 layers in the photo above. </p><p>Despite the multiple coats, Tris goes on nicely, and I enjoy applying it because I just love looking at this seductive, edgy, steel shade that is befitting for winter.</p>So Lonely in Gorgeoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02074828702121532133noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1060148230292966531.post-32683053764795558182021-07-24T00:21:00.009+09:002021-07-24T03:41:24.329+09:00In remembrance <p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7h4NcNyW-NjYAbhOGdtu6f4ZYuj664NAVDt-HSJKFPeUL9gC2PM6YATaEa3boVKPcp34PGwpq8KeUmqeMRRp1-ICDDfvIJnqeFL0ElKphGtl0FG-lK-_JhRcty8a0oZpU961g-KvX5j4/s1280/thumbnail_IMG_9054.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="1280" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7h4NcNyW-NjYAbhOGdtu6f4ZYuj664NAVDt-HSJKFPeUL9gC2PM6YATaEa3boVKPcp34PGwpq8KeUmqeMRRp1-ICDDfvIJnqeFL0ElKphGtl0FG-lK-_JhRcty8a0oZpU961g-KvX5j4/w640-h480/thumbnail_IMG_9054.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><p><br /></p>Sorry for the lack of posts everyone, but it's been a very difficult month. I posted this on my Instagram, but some of you may not be connected with me on that platform. So, I'll post on here as well. A dear friend of mine, Edgar Gonzalez passed away in the Surfside Champlain Towers collapse. <p></p><p>Today is Edgar's funeral, and I'm very upset that I won't be there. However, the service will be live-streamed (3:00am my time) for friends and family overseas. </p><p>This is a photo of Edgar, Adriana, my sister, and myself. We're waiting for everyone to arrive to go to Tropical Park for one of our many nighttime games of manhunt. Edgar and Adriana were the first friends my sister and I made when we moved from Chicago to Miami; a friendship that spanned over 32 years. It's still hard to believe You're gone (I don't want to believe it) I'm going to miss you. I love you, Edgar. </p><p>Requiescat In Pace.</p>So Lonely in Gorgeoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02074828702121532133noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1060148230292966531.post-12902920326345805372021-06-08T23:46:00.001+09:002021-06-08T23:51:36.201+09:00Avec des langueurs d'héliotropes...Les Merveilleuses Laduree Body Wash<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgodqXH1lYe1tvlHNC93JxCbemupW7VPblTAWK41DezJKko50nU0sBlhK7-gNrWdvMA1amAPUGvHmcYogBNk_4obS89eRDYzZkMqc90Gz-sYENg4nNRGqS-wEU4A4NgWJiPU1Iq5t596pA/s2048/les+merveilleuses+laduree+savon+pour+le+corps+heliotrope.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1366" data-original-width="2048" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgodqXH1lYe1tvlHNC93JxCbemupW7VPblTAWK41DezJKko50nU0sBlhK7-gNrWdvMA1amAPUGvHmcYogBNk_4obS89eRDYzZkMqc90Gz-sYENg4nNRGqS-wEU4A4NgWJiPU1Iq5t596pA/s16000/les+merveilleuses+laduree+savon+pour+le+corps+heliotrope.jpg" /></a></div><p></p><p>Straight from my bathing products drawer, May's body wash was Les Merveilleuses Laduree's Heliotrope. However, in regards to the indigo shimmer, they took subtleness to a stealth-like degree because I don't see any trace of it in the bottle or on the nails. The formula is very thin, so, it takes about five coats to get total opacity. Once dry, the surface is slightly textured, but not gritty. However, the grittiness is fixed with a topcoat. Also, because of the glitters, Where My Peeps At? is a workhorse of a polish wearing for an entire week, and then some. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgX9HlE5NernP_1Rg6WVSBtMwmQkcWwJKd857d9bmK60NGdzsRQns2ult4qWcnzLWvXuCuJqAFFnu0Uugzjsqt_JZS0xPx0CnpOFNJHnSJVuGFYBoAvy8ZDhwRQ3s0fr076QPiUuefJ5S0/s2048/Dollish+Polish+where+my+peeps+at+swatch+ppu.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1360" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgX9HlE5NernP_1Rg6WVSBtMwmQkcWwJKd857d9bmK60NGdzsRQns2ult4qWcnzLWvXuCuJqAFFnu0Uugzjsqt_JZS0xPx0CnpOFNJHnSJVuGFYBoAvy8ZDhwRQ3s0fr076QPiUuefJ5S0/w424-h640/Dollish+Polish+where+my+peeps+at+swatch+ppu.jpg" width="424" /></a></div><p></p><p>I've been waiting to wear this polish (specifically for Easter) since I got it back in May of 2020. However, I prefer using a lip brush because it gives me more control, and precision. </p><p>The formula applies well; it was extremely lightweight, and so comfortable I could barely feel it on my lips. As for being "Kiss-proof," this is where By Terry and I have to agree to disagree. Although the matte formula seems to dry down, it never truly sets. With the slightest pressure, the product smudges. I kissed the back of my hand, and had some product transfer from the corners of my lips. Throughout the day, not only did the color lose some of its vibrancy, I noticed the lipstick migrated past my natural lipline whenever a lipliner wasn't used. Also, unless you plan on eating and drinking solely from a straw, you will need to reapply after meals.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGakdUAB15fDTMbXeqO9-AX6lHic_uWB286KnTmP5rJzCfzHgDbYKDbrOkUkEmPIqNtWWkNYz5i6oiPq63gDF4E6vJCgBuiKb2StRA_CcxCLEgviDiQslyvHP4MzmEfYPZpQSAfSweLsU/s2048/by+terry+matte+Lip-Expert+Liquid+Lipstick+No.5+Flirty+Brown+No.6+Chili+Fig+No.7+Gypsy+Wine+No.9+Red+Carpet+No.10+My+Red+No.16+Midnight+Instinct+swatches.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1230" data-original-width="2048" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGakdUAB15fDTMbXeqO9-AX6lHic_uWB286KnTmP5rJzCfzHgDbYKDbrOkUkEmPIqNtWWkNYz5i6oiPq63gDF4E6vJCgBuiKb2StRA_CcxCLEgviDiQslyvHP4MzmEfYPZpQSAfSweLsU/s16000/by+terry+matte+Lip-Expert+Liquid+Lipstick+No.5+Flirty+Brown+No.6+Chili+Fig+No.7+Gypsy+Wine+No.9+Red+Carpet+No.10+My+Red+No.16+Midnight+Instinct+swatches.jpg" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>Matte Lip-Expert shades I own are (from left to right in the swatches above): </div><p>No.5 Flirty Brown: a deep, reddened, burnt terracotta.</p><p>No.6 Chili Fig: a dark, purple leaning, raspberry.</p><p>No.7 Gypsy Wine: a deep, brown-based, red-wine. </p><p>No.9 Red Carpet: a bright red.</p><p>No.10 My Red: a bright (yet deep) blue-based red.</p><p>No.16 Midnight Instinct: a dark, brown-based raisin.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsnyb73MKX1-pBPLtoyI6PtRDZ7f6l9IuTotV9cr2HoznkiJqBJhM2NlTE51p9a6hMZ1LnTdFZtUvcKlUK36k8FxQoXhl2FzjlwvML3wf6q4SAF0Isplk0Wk84_3mUtcL8aGU_p0z2aL4/s2048/by+terry+lip+expert+shine.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1647" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsnyb73MKX1-pBPLtoyI6PtRDZ7f6l9IuTotV9cr2HoznkiJqBJhM2NlTE51p9a6hMZ1LnTdFZtUvcKlUK36k8FxQoXhl2FzjlwvML3wf6q4SAF0Isplk0Wk84_3mUtcL8aGU_p0z2aL4/s16000/by+terry+lip+expert+shine.jpg" /></a></div><br />Now, onto the Shine Lip-Expert Liquid Lipsticks. The Shines are described as a "vinyl gloss liquid lipstick." Basically, they're the gloss version of the Lip-Expert Mattes. Available in 16 shades, the color range are the exact counterpart to the Mattes, with most shades sharing the same names as well as numbers. The formula is pigmented, neither sticky or thick, giving the lips a comfy, plush, shiny pout. Since they're a gloss, I didn't expect them to be long-lasting. Without eating or drinking, they wore for about 3-4 hours. Just seeing all the vacant space on the jar is esthetically unappealing. </p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;">On the website, Yankee Candle describes the candle as a, "Traditional holiday scent of a warm hearth, sugared plums, and candied fruits." </span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;">To me, Christmas Eve smells of candied fruit, cinnamon, with a swirl of vanilla and amaretto as well as a smidgen of citrus zest and smoky wood. </span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="text-align: left;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1u0L9OMWyPVW97ZUsgrGlEhLcS3OO6WGvNTBI5ZDviiJq1HRPA-pa7IKNNaZ7TifglC14pj9w4QX7XsYDj2RxkcECE3XFs9Vey-rWXcApiR2NCBXw3IO16usf-iszPgQ_r0EzqQ95Xyw/s2048/yankee+candle+christmas+eve+fragrance.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1360" data-original-width="2048" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1u0L9OMWyPVW97ZUsgrGlEhLcS3OO6WGvNTBI5ZDviiJq1HRPA-pa7IKNNaZ7TifglC14pj9w4QX7XsYDj2RxkcECE3XFs9Vey-rWXcApiR2NCBXw3IO16usf-iszPgQ_r0EzqQ95Xyw/s16000/yankee+candle+christmas+eve+fragrance.jpg" /></a></span></div><p></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;">The only downside to the candle (and this can be said about most of Yankee Candles) is the inconsistency of their throw. Some batches can fill up a room where others have a faint aroma that can only be detected when in close proximity. I just remedy this by purchasing two of the same candle and place them on opposite sides of the room. </span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="text-align: left;">Anyway, I love this candle, and it smells just like Christmas to me, like one of those Christmas specialty stores to be exact. The cozy, sweet and mild spicy fragrance of Christmas Eve is a nice departure from the pine notes usually found in most holiday candles (which I love as well). </span></p>So Lonely in Gorgeoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02074828702121532133noreply@blogger.com2
